Send an e-mail to service@boixeurope.com with your contact details and a drawing of the new tray that you want to set up. Please add a description and machinenumber of the Boix machine with which you want to set up this tray. In addition, we would like to receive a drawing of the tray that is currently being set up with the Boix box erecting machine. Based on these drawings, our service department can determine whether you need new parts.
After receiving the tray drawing and 5 production blanks per tray type to be set up, it takes an average of 2 weeks before you receive the new forming set.
Depending on the type of tray and the skills of the operator, it is in general easy to change the box size to erect another box with a Boix tray forming machine. The adjustment takes only a few minutes. During the installation & training, operators are trained by a Boix engineer to do a tray size asjustment by themselves. View here an instruction video of a tray size adjustment at a Boix Q-1500 tray forming machine.

- Never carry out repairs on a machine without pressing the emergency stop of the machine. Because of this operation, all compressed air is also discharged from the machine. Even if you carry out repairs to the pneumatic system: Always press the emergency stop!
- Never remove loose parts of cardboard from the machine while the machine is running.
- Safety windows are equipped with electrical protection, which means the machine stops or cannot be started when opening a window or fence.
- All fencing is equipped with electrical protection, so you cannot start the machine when the electrical protection is interrupted.
- Never clean the hot melt system when the compressed air is not completely removed from the hot melt system. You do this by turning the pressure gauge to zero (turning counterclockwise).|
- The corresponding hoses and heads of the hotmelt system have a temperature of no less than 170 ℃!
- Never switch on the machine when the electrical box is open. There is a voltage of 380 volts on the machine.
The adhesive system switches off automatically after 120 minutes when the machine is not in operation. This time can be adjusted as desired.
It takes about 45 minutes before the adhesive reaches temperature and the machine is released for use (green light lights up). It is possible to program your machine, so it will automatically start up 45-60 minuten before you want to start operating.
Daily maintenance:
- Clean the adhesive plate.
- Clean the forming area and remove any adhesive residue.
- Clean the pusher chain.
Weekly maintenance:
- Remove dust and caked dirt (adhesive residue, cardboard, etc.) from and inside the machine.
- Provide the pusher chain with oil.
Our advice for a proper and continuous production process is to have the machine serviced by a skilled technician for every 500.000 trays or every 1.400-1.600 working hours.
